Evacuation Orders

There are currently 2 evacuation orders by Cal Fire of Leon Drive and Morgan Territory Road and Marsh Creek Road between Dear Valley Road and Morgan Territory Rd. Residents in the area are advised to leave by car and go either towards Clayton via Morgan Territory Road or towards Brentwood via Dear Valley Road.

Stay off the phone and do not call 911 unless you need to report an emergency at your location or cannot leave the area under the evacuation orders unassisted. For non-emergency please call 211.

Evacuation Centers

An evacuation center has been established at 6125 Clayton Road in Clayton. An evacuation center is underway in Brentwood.

Traffic

Westbound traffic on Marsh Creek Road at Camino Diablo and at Deer Valley Road is closed at this time until further notice.

Pets and livestock

Contra Costa Animal Services is assisting with evacuating pets and livestock.

A second evacuation center is now opened in Brentwood at the Brentwood Community Center near the library at 35 Oak Street.

The majority of Marsh Creek Road is anticipated to remain closed throughout the night.

***UPDATE 7/25/18 10:00 PM

Marsh Creek Road will remain closed through the night between Morgan Territory Road to the West and Gill Road to the East. Please be advised the power in the area will remain out until 9:00 AM tomorrow morning. Do not call 911 unless you need to report an emergency at your location. For non-emergency information and referral assistance call 211. The 2 evacuation centers, Clayton Community Center and Brentwood Community Center will remain open. The initial evacuation area on Leon Drive and Morgan Territory Road South of Leon Drive is now open. Please be advised that the power will remain off in the area until tomorrow morning as well.

Marsh Creek Road between Gill Drive and Dear Valley Road is open to residents with ID only

The Evacuation Shelters are still open in Clayton and Brentwood for at least 24 hours:

The Brentwood Evacuation Shelter is now on stand-by status. All residents that need shelter services due to the evacuation order should go to the Clayton Shelter that is still open and assisting displaced residents at 6125 Clayton Rd, Clayton CA.

***UPDATE 7/27/18 10:00 AM

The Evacuation order on Marsh Creek Road, between Gill Drive and Morgan Territory Road has been lifted for residents by Cal Fire. The road closure remains in effect for the public.

Residents will be required to show I.D. before entering the closure area.

The fire is 75% contained at this time. There are safety concerns in the area due to debris and unstable terrain and the area will remain closed to the public.

According to PGE’s website (https://m.pge.com/#outages), the power has been completely restored in the area. If you are still without power go to http://www.pge.com/outage.

Clayton Shelter, that remained open overnight, will begin scaling down and assisting their clients with transitioning back to their homes by this afternoon.

The Evacuation order on Marsh Creek Rd, between Gill Dr and Morgan Territory Rd has been lifted by Cal Fire, with no restrictions. All roads are open in the area.
